Dathlu Dewi Sant Grovesend 2026 – A Community Celebration of Welsh Culture

Grovesend came alive on 27 February as Grovesend and Waungron Community Council proudly delivered Dathlu Dewi Sant Grovesend 2026 — a vibrant celebration of Welsh culture, made possible thanks to funding from the Welsh Government

The day was packed with sport, arts & crafts, storytelling, folk dancing (with Urdd Gobaith Cymru), a traditional Welsh lunch, and a fantastic concert featuring Pengelli Primary School, Robbie Lee and Alex Jacob as Tom Jones — all expertly compered by Sharon Leech.

From cawl and bara brith to music and community spirit, the event brought all generations together — completely free and open to all.

This wasn’t just a celebration — it will hopefully be the start of a new annual tradition for Grovesend.

The spirit of Dewi Sant is alive and well!
