Grovesend & Waungron Celebration of King Charles Coronation

Grovesend & Waungron Community Council would like to thank everybody who attended the fun day at Pengelli Sports/Minor Welfare hall.

The day was planned to bring the community together and that's what it did!

Starting off the coronation celebration with the community walk, the sun finally came out and everybody was in great spirits. Lots of you attended mothers, fathers, children & dogs. Travelling back in style from station road on the fun bus you were then presented with your medals, a lovely keepsake to remember the day!

Colin Jones attended to kick things off, the ribbon was cut & the fun began!

From bouncy castles, children batting the rat and penalty shoot outs. The hog roast was in full swing, which was scrumptious! Children got the chance to meet the fire service, police & take part in a hula hoop competition with the Penyrheol Leisure Center team.

The raffle was a hit & lots of lovely prizes were won, which was followed by a live band in the Pengelli Sports Hall where there celebration continued. It was so lovely to see everyone come together as a community and enjoy themselves!

Thankyou to all the volunteers who helped throughout the day & thankyou to the local businesses who contributed to the day.

And a huge thankyou to the community of Grovesend & Waungron for attending the day, we hope you all enjoyed & we shall hopefully see you all at the next event.
